Studies 2 Charcoal and Ink

Project Description

These studies came a month or so afer "Studies1A and B". While in that series, I was at times attempting to copy elements from the photos, here I am not looking at photos at all.

I feel like I have begun to internalize the vocabulary of lines and shapes from the previous studies and investigations, and I feel a much greater sense of ease and play. These paintings were so pleasurable to make, that I think I will continue along these lines for a while.
