Project Description

Occult Desensitizer was one of my earliest audio installations, the idea being to create a custom listening environment, different from how we normally listen to music. The title of the piece is named as such because while sitting in the chair, several people commented that it felt as if their brain was being programmed or in this case- deprogrammed.

All speakers and amplifiers were either trash picked or picked up at a local thrift store. Sound was created with computer, and played back via 8 channel ADAT (now totally ancient technology)

View is during installation at Vox Populi Gallery in Philadelphia.
