Project Description

Electroplasmic Limb Deflector consists of an approximately 15ft sheet of silver reflective mylar stretched diagonally across a room. The mylar itself is rigged in such a way, that it acts as a gigantic loudspeaker. As sound eminates from the surface, unusual sound fills the room and the sheet moves and shimmers reflecting light onto the wall, similar to light reflecting from a lake.

The sonic quality of the sound was mostly high frequency, with lower frequency sounds being translated as mechanical movement of the sheet.

The installation was later shown at Project Room in Philadelphia.

Below is a somewhat grainy clip of the installation.
